Myths

Yesterday we talked about myths and the different characteristics of myths.  We know that they include a protagonist and hyperbole.  Think about some other story elements like setting, plot or the important events in the story, characters (protagonist), and hyperbole.  Think about the book that you are reading right now on your own.  Tell me about these different story elements in the book that you are reading right now. Also, I need to know the name of the book and the author. So, here is what I'm looking for:
Title
Author
Genre
Protagonist
Plot (Main events in the story so far)
Hyperbole (any exaggeration in the story)

Climate and Natural Resources

Hello boys and girls!  In the past week and a half we have been reading and discussing climates and natural resources in the United States.  In at least 3 or 4 sentences,  tell me two things that you have learned about climate and two things you have learned about natural resources.  Make sure that you give your answer a lot of thought before writing, and think about what we have discussed in class.  Good luck!  Remember-COMPLETE SENTENCES!!

Which Instrument?

Hello 4-W!  I would like to ask you a musical question.  If you could learn to play any instrument, what would you choose?  If you already play one, which one is it?  If you do play one now, what would you like to play if you could choose a different one?

Welcome Back!

I hope that everyone had a great summer!  It always seems to go way too fast!  One fun thing that my family does every summer is go to Okoboji.  We go boating, skiing, and biking.  We also usually make a trip to Arnold's Park.  Right now I would like you to tell me one or two things that you did over the summer that you really enjoyed.  Can't wait to read them!!
